Mrs. Sonja Fox, New Beginnings Instructor, is the 2012 teacher of the year. Mrs. Fox has taught at MDTC for five years. She received her Associates degree from Western Oklahoma State College, her bachelor’s degree from Cameron University, and her master’s degree from Oklahoma State University.

MDTC INTRODUCES EVENING COSMETOLOGY CLASS

Mid-Del Technology Center will start its first evening Cosmetology class on January 17. The class will run Monday through Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE SETS NEW RECORD

Even in difficult economic times, Mid-Del Technology Center students continue to care about their communities giving a record setting 1,595 cans of food. The food was delivered to the Mid-Del Food Pantry this week.

MDTC HOLDS BULLYING PREVENTION AWARENESS WEEK

Mid-Del Technology Center is holding its annual Bullying Prevention Awareness Week October 24-28. According to national statistics, every day more than 160,000 children stay home from school to avoid bullying.
Dale Henthorn, assistant principal, at the Tech Center headed a student task force that developed activities for Bullying Prevention Awareness week. Events for the week include an Anti-Bullying Assembly, Mr. Mark Clanton, keynote speaker on Monday. The Anti-Bullying Slogan contest will be held on Tuesday. Character First School-Wide Instruction will be held on Wednesday. The Anti-Bullying video and discussion will take place on Thursday and students will sign the Anti-Bullying Banner Pledge on Friday.
