Medical Office is designed to prepare individuals for job ready employment as a Medical Office Assistant or a Medical Insurance Coder. In these career majors, a student will learn daily business operations through a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Training areas will include computers, office machines, medical terminology, and software including: Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, and Billing & Coding. The Career Tech student organization, Business Professionals of America (BPA), is integrated with the training to offer opportunities to develop leadership skills. BPA offers students an opportunity to compete with other schools to enrich their training and leadership skills for the world of work.
