LTCNA Long Term Care Nurse Aide (CNA)

This training program (including 16 hours of clinical training at a local long-term care facility) prepares you for an entry level career as a Nurse Assistant. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to sit for the Oklahoma nurse assistant certification exam. Students will learn how to appropriately care for residents in long-term care facilities and hospitals as well as personal patient care, patient rights, lifting and turning patients, safety, infection control, vital signs, record keeping, mental health care of residents, and stress management. Course is not eligible for waivers or vouchers. State exam is a separate fee. Course is an approved program through the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.

Electrical Apprentice

Welcome to the world of the electrical helper. This course is for the apprentice electrician who will receive basic training in the area of residential wiring. You will learn wiring design and code requirements for electrical installation and participate in hands-on shop activities that provide practical experience in installation of lights, switches, receptacles, and other devices. Hours earned in this class are credited toward required hours for licensure. Students must earn a passing grade of 70% or better and have at least 80% attendance to count the hours toward fulfilling the apprenticeship requirements. Course is approved by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB).

Forklift Training & Certification

Approximately two hundred workplace fatalities occur every year, which can be directly attributed to the improper use of a forklift. This course teaches the fundamentals of safe and proper forklift operation and addresses all relevant regulatory requirements. If you are an experienced operator, this course will help you fine tune your operating skills and refresh your understanding of safe operating procedures. A passing score is required on both written and practical operation tests to successfully complete the class.

*FEDERAL LAW REGULATION
Physical size may limit some forklift operators from operating specific forklifts. This is due to federal law regulation ANSI B56 5.2.4 which states an operator cannot have any body parts outside the operator compartment. To ensure safer operation, a forklift operator must fit within the confines of the equipment.

Plumbing Code Update

This course meets all requirements for code update classes according to Oklahoma statutes, mandating that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing journeymen (and contractors) receive a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education during each code cycle, in order to renew their license. Similarly, this class meets the Construction Industries Board continuing education criteria for licensed journeymen and contractors.

Aircraft Structural Technologies

This instructor-led course is for entry-level Aircraft Structural Mechanics. It will familiarize the mechanic with common shop tools and hand tools, shop safety, shop math, conventional and special fasteners, corrosion control, coating removal and application, tubing, cable, fiberglass and advanced composites, and the basic structural repair fundamentals required to produce a finished project or repair that complies with established Air Force or Federal Aviation Administration technical standards.

Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase III Private Investigator

During Phase III of the Private Security Guard training, you will learn the basic duties and tasks of private investigators. Topics covered include responsibilities to clients, law of private investigations, Fair Credit Reporting Act, conducting investigations, surveillance, and locating and communicating information. Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase IV Firearms

  • Cost: $169
  • Hours: 32

This course is required for all persons who want to become licensed armed security officers. You will learn Oklahoma’s laws regarding firearms, possession, transport, use of deadly force, handcuffing, and arrest techniques. Instruction will also focus on the handling and firing of a handgun, firearm nomenclature, loading and unloading techniques. Firearm usage will be conducted at an off-campus firing range under close supervision. This course students also requires students to show proficiency with their firearms on the range. Training will include 16-hours of classroom learning and 16-hours of on-range instruction and qualifying exercises. Successful completers will have 100% attendance, score 85% or better on written tests, pass all CLEET qualifications on-range, and pass the CLEET Phase IV testing to be eligible for making an application for licensing. No weapons are allowed on campus. Course is CLEET Approved.

Prerequisites

Must be 21 years old. Phase I & II or III required. Must present MMPI test before enrolling in class. Minimum .38, .45 or 9mm caliber semi-auto pistol, duty style holster, belt and two magazines. For safety reasons students are required to provide 400-450 rounds of NEW ammunition. Reloaded ammo is not allowed to be used in this course. Must provide own transportation to the shooting range in Norman, Ok.

Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase V Bail Enforcer

Private Security Guard Phase V Bail Enforcer is designed to meet all CLEET requirements for licensing of a Bail Enforcer. Bail Enforcement agents recover defendants who have failed to appear in court after undertaking a bail bond contract. The training includes: Interpreting the Oklahoma Bail Enforcement and Licensing Act, interpreting the legal powers and limitations of Bail Enforcers, understanding the responsibilities to clients, and performing bail enforcement duties.
