Home School Students

To apply for admission to a Secondary Career Program at Mid-Del Technology, the procedures listed below should be followed:


Submit a completed Mid-Del Technology Center application, available at the Mid-Del Technology Center in the Student Services office or complete the on-line application.

Provide Evidence of Home Schooled Education Plan

Provide Sufficient Evidence of an individual participating in a Home Schooled education plan, the following requirements apply:

Residence/Tuition requirement

The applicant must be a resident within the Mid-Del Public School District.  No tuition is charged for secondary in-district students.

Age Requirement

The student must be sixteen (16) years of age on or before November 1 in the year that he/she plans to attend Mid-Del Technology Center. Birth Certificate or drivers’ license serves as proof of age.

Program Requirement

The applicant must meet the pre-requisite for the program for which they are applying.

Transcript of course of Study Requirement:

  • Provide a valid transcript or
  • A written curriculum outline for the course of study provided to the individual for the 2 years prior to application to Mid-Del Technology Center.
  • Current course of study/curriculum outline

Standardized Testing Results Required

Provide results from at least one of the Achievement tests listed below.  Results will be accepted from standardized tests such as:

  • MAT (Minnesota Achievement Test)
  • ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills)
  • SRA (Science Research Associates)
  • Gates-McGinitie
  • PSAT/PACT or SAT/ACT (Pre-Scholastic Achievement Test/Pre-American College Test, Scholastic Achievement Test/American College Test)
  • PLAN (by ACT)
  • Nelson-Denny
  • Woodcock-Johnson
  • K-TEA (Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement)
  • TABE-Levels 7 & 8 (Test of Adult Basic Foundation)

Other Test Results Considered

  • Otis-Lennon
  • ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
  • GATB (General Aptitude Testing Battery)
  • CDMS (Career Decision Making Survey)
  • CAPS/COPS (Career Ability Placement Survey/Career Occupational Preference System)

Note: Test must have been administered within the last two years.


Transportation to and from Mid-Del Technology Center will be the responsibility of the individual and must be within the guidelines of the policies of the Mid-Del School District.

Rules and Regulations

Students attending Mid-Del Technology Center will adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Board of Education of Mid-Del Public School District.
