This program is designed for students with little to no plumbing experience as well as apprentices currently working in the field. This program has the approval of the Construction Industries Board. Upon successful completion of the entire program, the student may apply for one-half year of experience required for taking the state journeyman’s license exam. OSHA 10 is included in the curriculum. Students must pass OSHA 10 to pass the course. There are opportunities for tuition assistance through Oklahoma Works (Workforce Development). Adults with previous experience in the Plumbing industry who need to earn apprenticeship hours for the Construction Industry Board are considered Skill Enhancement students, and are not eligible for the daytime program. Class 1: Safety & Math

Learn the appropriate selection, use, and application of fixtures, fittings, and valves used in a variety of plumbing applications. You will also learn the correct use of plumbing tools and practice how to properly measure, cut, join and install pipe and tubing.

You will learn the functions of the water distribution system and identify proper techniques for locating, installing, and testing complete water service and distribution systems. Other topics of discussion include sewage and sump pumps, corrosive resistant waster, and compressed air.

Class 7: IFGC, IPC Code and License Test Prep

Learn how the codes are written, adopted, modified and implemented. You will also review Math for Plumbers and Pipefitters and the Code of Federal Regulations.
