Early Care & Education

MidDel Tech Center Early Education student

Early Care and Education is designed for students with an interest in caring for and teaching young children.  Students apply concepts learned in the classroom as they work with children in the New Beginnings Learning Center, MDTC preschool and in a supervised practicum experience.  Students learn theories and techniques to plan and present activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children.  Students will take certification tests throughout the program, ELCCT, Teacher Assistant, Master Teacher, and Infant/Toddler Care Provider. Students will also begin their portfolio to earn the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
