CLEET Private Security Phase IV Firearms (In-Person)

This course is conducted off-site, please see the schedule below for the location and address. Phase IV Firearms is required for all persons who want to become a licensed armed security officer. Instruction will focus on the handling and firing of a handgun, handgun safety, maintenance, legal issues and marksmanship. Firearm usage will be off campus at a CLEET criteria met range and evaluated and supervised by the CLEET instructor. All firearms and ammunition will be approved by the CLEET instructor and students must furnish their own firearms and ammunition.

Enrollment Criteria:

  • Upon enrolling, you must submit your Minnesota Multiphase Personality Inventory (MMPI) results to the Private Security Coordinator.
  • Students must be 21 years or older.
  • Attendance and participation is required during all class sessions.

Students are Required to Furnish Their Own:

  • .38, .45, or 9mm handgun
  • 2 magazine minimum
  • Magazine or speed loader pouches
  • Holster (Must fit on belt, NO cross draw)
  • Belt
  • 400 rounds of ammunition

Firing Range:

  • Reloaded ammo is not allowed to be used in this course.
  • Must provide your  own transportation.

Adult Career Development Refund Policy – Short-Term Evening Classes

  • Students must cancel 5 business days prior to the class start date to obtain a full refund minus a $10 processing fee.
  • Full refunds will be given IF Mid-Del Tech cancels a class.

Testing Refund Policy

  • Students must cancel before 12:00 PM on the day before the test begins for a full refund minus the $10 processing fee. There is no refund on the day of the test.
  • Full refunds will be given IF Mid-Del Tech cancels the test.
  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, some test dates may be rescheduled without payment penalty.
  • Testers will be allowed one (1) free re-test for entrance exams only.
