Masonry is focused on teaching the skills needed to become a masonry laborer, laying the foundation to potentially become a skilled stone or brick mason. Exploring this pathway, students work toward obtaining their OSHA 30 and Forklift certifications. Topics covered include introduction to construction and masonry, reading plans and drawings, masonry materials and installation techniques, building forms, foundation work, residential and commercial techniques.

Main Campus

o   If a student withdraws within the first 5 days of classes or PRIOR to the first day of class they will receive a refund of all tuition, less $25 processing fee ($75 for Practical Nursing students).

o   If a student withdraws within the first three weeks of class, they will receive a refund of one-half of any tuition paid for the current semester. If a student has pre-paid for the following semester, they will receive a full refund for that semester.

o   After the third week of classes, no refund will be given.

o   Non-refundable fees include: testing fee, $50 deposit, background checks, and textbooks.

Students who receive a Federal Pell Grant from MDTC and who withdraw (officially or unofficially) will be subject to the “Return of Title IV” regulations. For those students who have been officially or unofficially withdrawn, the student’s last date of attendance will be used for Return of Title IV purposes as determined by MDTC’s attendance records. Generally, the student and/or school will have to return any amount of the Pell Grant that is defined as “unearned” per Return of Unearned Funds Policy section on page 34.  NOTE: all financial aid students should contact the Financial Aid Coordinator to discuss their Return of Title IV funds calculation before withdrawing.

Cost of Attendance (COA) is used to give an idea of what the full cost of attending school will cost.  There are Direct* and Indirect** costs included in the COA. Your specific indirect costs may be different than what is listed below.

Direct costs* are items that will appear on your Mid-Del Technology Center student statement, such as tuition and fees.

Indirect costs** will NOT appear on your student statement but are estimated costs associated with going to college and should be included in your personal budget. Most of these costs would be incurred whether you attend school or not. These include items like housing, transportation and personal expenses.


Dependent students are students who do not meet any of the criteria for an independent student.

Independent students are one of the following: at least 24 years old, married, a graduate or professional student, a veteran, a member of the armed forces, an orphan, a ward of the court, someone with legal dependents other than a spouse, an emaciated minor or someone who is homeless or at risk of being homeless.


*Direct costs provided are for full-time enrollment and will be adjusted for half-time enrollment.
