Welding – Home and Hobby

There are so many things you can create or repair with welding. The home and hobby welding class allows you to explore and improve your skills. Example projects you can make at home include metal artistry, auto body, a welding cart, fire pit, hand railing, go-kart, a barbecue, truck racks, yard art and much more.

This course is designed to cover basic welding skills for home use and hobby purposes. Safe use of equipment is emphasized. Students will receive basic instruction and participate in hands-on experiences using oxyfuel welding and cutting, and shielded metal arc welding (stick). Students are allowed to bring small home projects to class to work on, with instructor approval.

Adult Career Development Refund Policy – Short-Term Evening Classes

  • Students must cancel 5 business days prior to the class start date to obtain a full refund minus a $10 processing fee.
  • Full refunds will be given IF Mid-Del Tech cancels a class.

Testing Refund Policy

  • Students must cancel before 12:00 PM on the day before the test begins for a full refund minus the $10 processing fee. There is no refund on the day of the test.
  • Full refunds will be given IF Mid-Del Tech cancels the test.
  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, some test dates may be rescheduled without payment penalty.
  • Testers will be allowed one (1) free re-test for entrance exams only.
