Anatomy and Physiology is the study of the structural complexities of the human body and its intricate functional mechanisms. In this course, students will learn and demonstrate a basic understanding of the following body systems: Organization of the Body; Chemical Basis for Life; Cells, Tissues, and Membranes; Integumentary System; Skeletal System; Muscular System; Nervous System; Endocrine System; Blood; Cardiovascular System; Lymphatic and Immune Systems; Respiratory System; Digestive System; Urinary System; and the Reproductive System. This course meets the pre-requisite requirement for the Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Mid-Del Tech Center.

EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Recovery Certification

This course prepares you for completion of the EPA 608 Technician exam. This certification is mandatory under the Clean Air Act of 1990 for anyone providing refrigerant recovery in stationary equipment. Cost of the exam is not included in tuition.

HVAC – Electrical Troubleshooting/Diagnostics

Many HVAC professionals have started their career with the training process being on the job, and they subsequently missed out on some of the much needed technical training that gives them a better understanding of the flow of electricity and how to use that newfound understanding to troubleshoot electrical issues in air conditioning systems. Topics include: basic electricity, troubleshooting motors, safety switches, thermostats, control boards, compressors, capacitors, and shorts. Students will have hands-on training. This course is useful for HVAC apprentices and journeymen.

HVAC – Mechanical Troubleshooting/Diagnostics

Many HVAC apprentices and journeymen, in the early course of their career, have missed out on some of the much needed technical training that gives them a better understanding of what they are doing. This course covers the troubleshooting techniques involved with the refrigeration cycle of air conditioning systems. Topics include: thermodynamics, saturation charging, design conditions, proper techniques for super-heat or sub-cool, etc. Students will have hands-on training. This course is useful for HVAC apprentices and journeymen.

Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Operators Certification

For individuals with little or no experience operating powered industrial trucks. Meets 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements. This course consists of classroom activities and hands-on demonstration of forklift operation skills. Topics include types of forklifts, pre/post operations inspections and safe operation procedures. Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase I

Private Security Guard Phase I is required for all security guard license applicants. Instruction is provided in writing reports, responding to fire emergencies, first aid applications, and provisions of the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act. This course is designed to prepare you for the State of Oklahoma examination for armed and unarmed private security licensure. Phase I also constitutes partial fulfillment of Private Investigator licensure. Must be at least 18 to start this program.

Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase III Private Investigator

During Phase III of the Private Security Guard training, you will learn the basic duties and tasks of private investigators. Topics covered include responsibilities to clients, law of private investigations, Fair Credit Reporting Act, conducting investigations, surveillance, and locating and communicating information. Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase IV Firearms

  • Cost: $125

This course is required for all persons who want to become licensed armed security officers. You will
learn Oklahoma’s laws regarding firearms, possession, transport, use of deadly force, handcuffing, and
arrest techniques. Instruction will also focus on the handling and firing of a handgun, firearm
nomenclature, loading and unloading techniques. Firearm usage will be conducted at an off-campus
firing range under close supervision. Course is CLEET Approved. This course students also requires
students to show proficiency with their firearms on the range.

Prerequisites

Must be 21 years old. Phase I & II or III required. Must present MMPI test before enrolling in class.
Minimum .38, .45 or 9mm caliber semi-auto pistol, duty style holster, belt and two magazines. For
safety reasons students are required to purchase 400 rounds of ammunition at commensurate firing
range. Reloaded ammo is not allowed to be used in this course. Must provide own transportation to the shooting range in Norman, Ok.

Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase V Bail Enforcer

Private Security Guard Phase V Bail Enforcer is designed to meet all CLEET requirements for licensing of a Bail Enforcer. Bail Enforcement agents recover defendants who have failed to appear in court after undertaking a bail bond contract. The training includes: Interpreting the Oklahoma Bail Enforcement and Licensing Act, interpreting the legal powers and limitations of Bail Enforcers, understanding the responsibilities to clients, and performing bail enforcement duties.

Prerequisites
Must be 21 years of age. Must have taken Phase I, II, & III for unarmed bail enforcer and Phase I, II, & III , & IV for armed bail enforcer.

Private Security Guard – CLEET Phase I & II

CLEET Phase I & II are required for all security guard license applicants. Instruction is provided in writing reports, responding to fire emergencies, first aid applications, good public relations skills, performing patrol duties, working fixed-post assignments, and investigating security incidents and provisions of the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act. This course is designed to prepare you for the State of Oklahoma examination for armed and unarmed private security licensure. This training will equip an individual to become a Security Officer. Phase I also constitutes partial fulfillment of Private Investigator licensure. The minimum age is 18 to become a security officer, 21 to become an armed officer.

Welding

This course will provide an overview of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and oxy-fuel process with applications. Specific areas include, safety according to OSHA standards, AC/DC Electrical theory as it applies to the welding circuit, proper setup, shut down, and use of the oxy-fuel torch system, and proper use and maintenance of various welding machines. Fee for materials is not included in tuition.
