Spanish for Educators

In this Basic Spanish class designed specifically for educators you will learn how to interact in the classroom with students who have limited English-speaking ability and to be able to interact with parents who have limited English-speaking ability. You will learn vocabulary and phrases to use during parent-teacher conferences, enrollment, classroom situations, taking attendance, discipline issues, and more. This class is specifically designed for teachers, administrative support, counselors, nurses, instructional aides, librarians, resource officers and coaches.

Group Fitness

Our group fitness classes use Variable-Intensity Interval Training (VIIT) to combine Mind/Body (Yoga/Pilates), Agility & Strength, and High-Intensity Intervals for 3 different fitness levels in every 45-minute workout. VIIT delivers a safe effective way to exercise which stresses the body in a variety of ways while also allowing for adequate recovery so that it is consistently getting stronger.  Our group fitness class incorporates hundreds of exercises, so your body is constantly adapting and improving. For you to gain the most out of this, it is recommended to take the class twice each week. Students will need dumbbells and a yoga mat for the class. Yoga mats are available for sale in the ACD office for a minimal price while supplies last.

Holla, cómo estás? If you have ever had need or desire to learn the Spanish language, now is your chance. This eight-week course is instructor-led and designed for beginning Spanish students. This course focuses on conversation emphasizing pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary. It, also, provides the knowledge, vocabulary, and linguistic structures necessary for students to use Spanish immediately for communication, as well as an introduction to the Spanish language and culture.
