Group Fitness

  • Cost: $50

Our group fitness classes use Variable-Intensity Interval Training (VIIT) to combine Mind/Body (Yoga/Pilates), Agility & Strength, and High-Intensity Intervals for 3 different fitness levels in every 45-minute workout. VIIT delivers a safe effective way to exercise which stresses the body in a variety of ways while also allowing for adequate recovery so that it is consistently getting stronger.  Our group fitness class incorporates hundreds of exercises, so your body is constantly adapting and improving. For you to gain the most out of this, it is recommended to take the class twice each week. Students will need dumbbells and a yoga mat for the class. Yoga mats are available for sale in the ACD office for a minimal price while supplies last.

Genealogy Club

Looking for lost relatives? This is a club setting where enthusiasts meet to share information and techniques about genealogy. These monthly sessions will focus on methods and strategies to make your search more productive. We will discuss new trends in research and how technology can be utilized in one’s search. This group meets on the first Monday of the month. The cost is $100 per semester.

Reading Essentials

The primary goal of the multi-sensory Reading Essentials program is to teach reading skills and strategies to facilitate the transition from a therapeutic classroom setting to real world learning. Multi-sensory Reading Essentials is for individuals who struggle in reading, in areas such as word recognition, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. The program is a systematic, sequential design including structured daily lessons following a progression of increasing complexity based upon previous and cumulative learning. 

HSE/GED

This course provides an opportunity for students to continue basic education and receive a High School Equivalency Diploma from the State of Oklahoma. Classes will meet two nights each week. All persons interested in HSE/GED must first start by calling (405) 682-7562.

Conversational Spanish

Holla, cómo estás? If you have ever had need or desire to learn the Spanish language, now is your chance. This eight-week course is instructor-led and designed for beginning Spanish students. This course focuses on conversation emphasizing pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary. It, also, provides the knowledge, vocabulary, and linguistic structures necessary for students to use Spanish immediately for communication, as well as an introduction to the Spanish language and culture.

Conversational Sign Language

Know your Smartphone – Social Media
