You will learn the essential commands required for 2D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD. The curriculum emphasizes Notes, Tips, and Warnings, which are systematically called out for special attention. With this newfound skill, you can take on designing projects as either a hubby or a source of income to supplement your core source of income. You will also be guided in obtaining the latest version of AutoCAD software with this course to use and study with at home.

Electrical Apprentice

Welcome to the world of the electrical helper. This course is for the apprentice electrician who will receive basic training in the area of residential wiring. You will learn wiring design and code requirements for electrical installation and participate in hands-on shop activities that provide practical experience in installation of lights, switches, receptacles, and other devices. Hours earned in this class are credited toward required hours for licensure. Students must earn a passing grade of 70% or better and have at least 80% attendance to count the hours toward fulfilling the apprenticeship requirements.

Forklift Training

For individuals with little or no experience operating powered industrial trucks. Meets 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements. This course consists of classroom activities and hands-on demonstration of forklift operation skills. Topics include types of forklifts, pre/post operations inspections and safe operation procedures. Minimum age of 18 to participate.

International Plumbing Code-Exam Prep

Prepare for the code portion of the Oklahoma state licensing examination for journeyman plumbers and plumbing contractors. A wide range of topics will be covered, as well as test taking strategies. Students will receive a copy of the 2015 IPC book. Students will take a computer based exam.

Aircraft Structural Technologies

This instructor-led course is for entry-level Aircraft Structural Mechanics. It will familiarize the mechanic with common shop tools and hand tools, shop safety, shop math, conventional and special fasteners, corrosion control, coating removal and application, tubing, cable, fiberglass and advanced composites, and the basic structural repair fundamentals required to produce a finished project or repair that complies with established Air Force or Federal Aviation Administration technical standards.
