Students will pick from one of the program areas below.
They will learn about the program through hands-on activities,
guest speakers, and demonstrations. Campers will also
participate in fun team-building activities.
PROGRAMS
Aviation
Students interested in aviation will learn about the principles of flight and will be introduced to a variety of career fields in aerospace. Through hands-on exploration using the X-Plane Flight Simulator, they will examine flight planning, aircraft instrumentation, and different forms of navigation.
Cosmetology
Students will learn about the importance of proper skin and hair care and explore the color wheel. Industry professionals will demonstrate make-up trends, manicure techniques, and skincare basics. They will explore different types of braids and do-it-yourself hairstyles.
Masonry
Dolese Bros. Co. has partnered with MDTC to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of masonry. Students will have the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test by building a structure.
Robotics
Students will design and build a robot using the VEX IQ Robot Construction System. No prior knowledge is necessary. Students will test their robot and their knowledge through a challenging set of games and activities.
