Midwest City, OK – [August 21, 2025] — Mid-Del Technology Center is proud to announce the addition of John M. Cook Jr. as its new Automotive Technology Instructor. With a strong background as a certified automotive technician and a passion for developing the next generation of industry professionals, Cook brings both expertise and enthusiasm to his new role.
A proud product of the Oklahoma CareerTech system, Cook’s career began when he earned a Completion Certificate in Automotive Service. He went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) with an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Service through the prestigious MOPAR CAP program.
Cook holds numerous Chrysler certifications and spent seven years working as an automotive service technician before transitioning into teaching in 2025. His wide-ranging expertise includes electric vehicles, hybrids, gasoline, and diesel technology.
“I’m passionate about all areas of automotive technology,” said Cook. “It’s exciting to help students not only gain technical skills but also find a rewarding career path in this evolving industry.”
With his hands-on experience and deep industry knowledge, Cook is committed to ensuring Mid-Del Tech students are prepared for success in today’s competitive automotive workforce.
