Midwest City, OK — October 2, 2025 — The world’s most electrifying masonry challenge, the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500®, is coming to Mid-Del Technology Center on Thursday, October 9, 2025 beginning at 10 AM CST. Top masons from across the region will pick up their levels and trowels to compete for the title of Oklahoma’s Best Bricklayer and a coveted spot at the 2025 World Championship in Las Vegas.
One of 22 regional qualifiers held across North America, the BRICKLAYER 500 tests each team’s speed, skill, and stamina as bricklayers—supported by their mason tenders—build the highest-quality 26-foot-long brick wall in just 60 minutes. A panel of judges evaluates craftsmanship and deducts for errors; the bricklayer with the highest adjusted brick count earns the win and advances to the World Championship at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas in January.
Often called the “Super Bowl of Masonry,” the BRICKLAYER 500 draws thousands of fans nationwide and showcases impressive prizes at the championship level—totaling more than $125,000, including a new Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab, equipment, and tools from leading industry partners.
Beyond the excitement, the event shines a spotlight on workforce development—inspiring the next generation of skilled masons and raising awareness of high-demand careers in the trades.
