If you’ve ever met Rochanda, owner of the catering company, Roski Toasty, you know you don’t just walk away with new culinary skills — you leave smiling. She is a ray of joy in our community, bringing energy, creativity, and genuine warmth to every class she teaches. For her, food is more than ingredients on a board — it is a way to connect people, inspire confidence, and spark happiness.
Her charcuterie and grazing table classes are packed with fun, laughter, and those little “aha!” moments that happen when learning feels like play. And the food? Absolutely unforgettable. Rochanda has truly found her gift, and we are fortunate to have her share it with our Mid-Del Tech family.
Now, we’re excited to share more of Rochanda’s story in her own words. Below is our Q&A, where she talks about her journey, her passion for food, and the joy she brings to every class.
Q: How did you decide on your business name?
A: This is one of my favorite questions. My husband calls me Roski, a nickname derived from my name, Rochanda. All my friends affectionately call me “Ro’’. The name "Toasty" comes from a fun memory at a house party where I was serving drinks.
I said, “My friends call me Roski, and I’m about to get you all Toasty!” That
playful moment inspired the name Roski Toasty. We've been in business for
four years now, and the name truly reflects my cheerful, inviting approach.
Q: What inspired you to turn your love of cooking for your husband into a full-fledged business?
A: One word: COVID. I started this venture during the pandemic when restaurants were closed. I began preparing and selling over 20 meals every
Saturday to friends and family. It went from texting 15 people to over 200. The weekly meals sold out in less than 10 min every week. In 2021, a client requested a charcuterie spread for a Christmas party, and that sparked the beginning of my professional journey as a food stylist. Today, we've completed our 259th event, and my passion continues to grow.
Q: Can you talk more about that very first grazing table you created back in 2001 and how your style has evolved since then?
A: My very first grazing table was a traditional (Well, what I thought was traditional. My tables are a foodie's culinary dream) charcuterie setup on a 4-foot kitchen island, created at the request of a family member/client. Over the years, my style has evolved greatly from simple spreads to elaborate, themed grazing tables that incorporate a variety of flavors, textures, and artistic presentations. Each event is an opportunity to showcase my creativity and attention to detail.
Q: What does “food quality" mean to you, and how do you bring that to life for your customers?
A: For me, food quality means using fresh ingredients and ensuring that every element is thoughtfully prepared. I pay attention to presentation, flavor harmony, and cleanliness. I believe that quality food not only looks good but also leaves a lasting impression and creates memorable experiences for my clients.
Q: You’ve set up more than 250 grazing tables, what’s been your favorite or most memorable event so far?
A: One of my most memorable events was a baby shower where everything was themed around the client's favorite colors and it was all desserts. Seeing the joy and surprise on her and her guest faces when they saw the table was incredibly rewarding. Every event is special, but moments like those remind me why I love what I do.
Q: Your family plays a big role in your business. How has that shaped your journey as an entrepreneur?
A: My family has been my biggest support system. They help with setup, creative ideas, and moral encouragement. Having their support keeps me motivated and grounded.
